¿Qué es un PPEC?
PPEC significa Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care.
Un PPEC permite que los niños elegibles para Medicaid desde el nacimiento hasta los 21 años con condiciones médicas complejas, reciban atención continua de enfermería especializada fuera de su domicilio.
Cuando se aprueba, los niños médicamente frágiles pueden asistir a un PPEC hasta un máximo de doce horas por día mientras reciben servicios de enfermería especializada, cuidado personal, terapias de desarrollo y capacitación para cuidadores.
